"Developing Christ-like Character in Your Children."
Before a parent can teach their children, they must first gain their respect. Respect is earned by training with love, understanding and consistency.
Kevin discusses key words and actions that parents need to be aware of in developing character, good manners, and joyful responsiveness and sincerity in their children as we train them to "grow in wisdom and favor with God and man."
Some Ways to Tell if Children are Respectful:
- They use titles when speaking to adults (Mr., Mrs., Sir, Ma'am,...)
- They bring the two big "E" 's to their response = Energy & Enthusiasm
- They "listen with their eyes" when someone is talking to them in person.

Important: To develop character in our children, we first must acknowledge the "Character-giver." THE source of all love and wisdom comes from God. This needs to be your FIRST committment.
"Choose you this day whom you will serve; but as for me and my house, we will
serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
